One of a pair of memorable FedEx advertisements featured in Super Bowl XLI (it would be followed in the third quarter by "Not What It Seems") is titled "Moon Office". Created by the talented team at BBDO New York, this advertisement serves as an excellent example of big-game advertising strategies: It effectively combines a clever premise, an unexpected pay-off, extravagant special effects, and a satisfying punch line. Over the years, FedEx and BBDO have delivered many such impressive examples of creativity, but it is worth noting that 2007 marked their penultimate appearance in the Super Bowl advertising lineup.
